Our Team

Hi, I'm Dr. Shah. My passion for optometry is deeply personal-growing up with my father, who was blind due to retinitis pigmentosa, inspired me to pursue this field and help others facing vision loss.

I earned my Bachelor's in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College and my doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. My rotations sparked my interest in primary care optometry, ocular disease, and dry eye treatment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, solving New York Times crossword puzzles, and supporting local businesses. I'm fluent in Gujarati and love connecting with my patients in meaningful ways.

Jovanie brings extensive customer-service experience and optical retail expertise to Hillsdale Eyecare. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his strong work ethic, ability to make every interaction easy and comfortable, and dedication to creating a positive, supportive environment for both patients and teammates.
 
At Hillsdale Eyecare, Jovanie oversees our optical inventory and is committed to helping patients select frames and lenses that truly fit their needs. His approach is rooted in patience, clear communication, and a genuine desire to make every visit smooth and enjoyable.
 
Outside the office, Jovanie is a devoted father. He loves spending time with his son—teaching him to ride a bike, building Lego creations, and sharing everyday adventures together. His family keeps him grounded, motivated, and inspired.
