Meet Our TeamDr. Margi Shah

Hi, I'm Dr. Shah. My passion for optometry is deeply personal-growing up with my father, who was blind due to retinitis pigmentosa, inspired me to pursue this field and help others facing vision loss.

I earned my Bachelor's in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College and my doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. My rotations sparked my interest in primary care optometry, ocular disease, and dry eye treatment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, solving New York Times crossword puzzles, and supporting local businesses. I'm fluent in Gujarati and love connecting with my patients in meaningful ways.

Dr. Shah is a wonderful eye doctor. She’s very detailed and makes sure nothing gets missed during the exam. She was great with my kids and even got them all fitted for contacts, which was a big deal for us especially my son since it was his first time.  Her team is super friendly and helpful, which makes the whole visit easy and stress-free. We felt really well taken care of here and I’d definitely recommend her.  She was also able to get me a pair of Meta Ray-ban’s so definitely a one stop shop!

Our family is extremely happy with our visit to Dr. Shah and her staff.  Ash was very welcoming, Dr. Shah's exam was very thorough and she took the time to make sure she answered all our questions, and Jovanni's thorough explanations of all the options available for our glasses was very informative and helpful.  Overall, a very good experience!

Dr. Shah is absolutely amazing! She took her time to be thorough and attentive during my exam. She made sure all of my concerns were addressed, and I left feeling confident and well cared for. The office itself is clean, welcoming, and has a homey feel that instantly puts you at ease. Plus, the selection of frames is fantastic! I can’t recommend Dr. Shah enough!

Great experience with Dr Shah’s office. Went for an annual exam and to try contacts again - I wasn’t able to get the hang of them in the past. Dr Shah spent time talking with me sharing great tips and the training with Jovanie was extensive and so helpful. Above and beyond all other offices I’ve been to. Julie at the front desk is a pleasure to speak with. Very nice people & very professional. So happy Dr Shah came to Hillsdale!

I have been going to Hillsdale Eyecare for over 10 years, always great staff, easy to get appointments and quality eyecare and products. Had my first visit with Dr. Shah a month or so ago - wonderful addition!! Dr. Shah is well-credentialed, friendly and thorough. I look forward to being a patient here in the years to come,  and just made an appointment for Dr. Shah to examine my son’s eye this week!!
