Practice History

Hillsdale Eyecare has been a longstanding neighborhood optometry practice in the heart of Hillsdale, New Jersey. In December 2024, the practice was taken over by Dr. Margi Shah, an optometrist dedicated to bringing modern, medical-grade eye care to the community while preserving the warm, local feel patients have always known.

Dr. Shah’s career is rooted in a personal connection to vision loss—her father’s experience with retinitis pigmentosa inspired her commitment to early detection, patient education, and long-term eye disease management.

Since taking over the practice, Dr. Shah has expanded medical services, upgraded diagnostic technology, and enhanced dry eye and ocular disease management offerings. Hillsdale Eyecare now provides comprehensive exams, contact lens care, advanced dry eye treatment options, glaucoma evaluation and monitoring, retinal imaging, and cataract co-management.

Under Dr. Shah’s leadership, the practice continues to grow as a trusted local destination for thorough, compassionate, and state-of-the-art eye care.
