Meet Our TeamDr. Margi Shah

Hi, I'm Dr. Shah. My passion for optometry is deeply personal-growing up with my father, who was blind due to retinitis pigmentosa, inspired me to pursue this field and help others facing vision loss.

I earned my Bachelor's in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College and my doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. My rotations sparked my interest in primary care optometry, ocular disease, and dry eye treatment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, solving New York Times crossword puzzles, and supporting local businesses. I'm fluent in Gujarati and love connecting with my patients in meaningful ways.

Dr Shah and her team were the best! Dr. Shah took her time and thoroughly did tests to not only check my vision but to also check the back of my eyes and explain which test is for what. When it came to getting glasses Jovanie sat with me and helped me pick out frames that suited my face and not just choose frames that everyone chooses. Overall, I would definitely trust them with my eyecare.

Dr. Shah and staff are outstanding. Whether for regular visits or last minute emergency we have had great experiences. Dr.Shah gives the most undecided attention and spends the time to answer all questions.

I had such a lovely visit to Hillsdale Eyecare this afternoon. Dr. Margi Shah is a true professional and the experience almost felt like I was at SoJo spa. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed while she examined my peepers.

Overall I will 10/10 continue coming to Hillsdale Eyecare. My only complaint was lack of candies at the front desk. I suspect the receptionist is the culprit and I've already made notice to management and the issue will be rectified 😋
